Greetings and salutations, earthlings! My name is Nina which means “little girl” in Spanish. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found that my name suits me quite well because I indulge my inner child like it’s nobody’s bidness. And, like my blog states, I’m a geeky girl who loves fancy things. What exactly does that mean, you might be wondering? Or not? That’s cool. In case you’re the former, I tend to be inspired by a lot of the things I geek out about and I sometimes reflect elements of my geekdom into my daily ensembles, but in a way that makes it “age appropriate” so I don’t look like an overgrown woman-child. Eek!
As you may have guessed, Le Fancy Geek is a personal fashion/lifestyle blog and what you’ll find on here are ramblings about things I like, things I do, things I ponder about, the fine folks I hang out with, my furry sidekick Rory, and the occasional geektastic (or not that geektastic, but still cute) outfit post.
What else might you want to know about me? I earned a B.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and have had a chronic case of creative constipation (as far as writing creatively goes) since graduating. Oi. In the meantime, I work as a tutor and a book seller, and make pretty baubles for my Etsy store. I also love all things Disney, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Batman, Star Wars, toys, literature, deer, ponies, puppies, unicorns, robots, scruffy men, cardigans, glasses, scruffy men in cardigans and glasses, shopping, reading, crafting, watching movies, mix tapes, chamomile tea, and cookies.

So the more I read you’re blog, the more I love that I’m not the only nerd girl that also likes fashion. I tend to sport a lot of Batman in my wardrobe, but I’ve been learning how to “dress up Batman” and I’m having a blast. Also, you have the cutest puppy!
